This report looks at Silicon Photonics from a communication and datacom perspective.
It is becoming clear that the attributes that make Silicon Photonics compelling for communication/datacom also apply to the sensor market. We will look at the sensor market in a separate report, but our understanding of the market, verified by our visit to Photonics West, is that the sensor market offers a larger market opportunity than datacom for Silicon Photonics.
